[SYNOPSIS]
The life of a tomato plant is sometimes boring. There is not much things to do indeed. Just waiting for sun and rain. If only they could tear out their roots to walk around !
Help the first ever walking tomato plant to escape its boring garden, but take care ! Brambles, slubs and weedkillers are all around and won't let you escape so easily.
[GAMEPLAY]
How could a defensless tomato plant grow without any support ? During your journey across the unsacred garden, you may find some stakes which will help you to carry more tomatoes: gather them to become stronger !
The sun is shining at some places in this garden. In such locations, take a little brake and take a sunbath, this will make your lost tomatoes grow again !
This game is voluntarily difficult. It can be played with two ways : rushing the level, or taking the difficult pathes to gain some power-ups and become stronger. It isn't fully completed, and is nowhere near perfect, but the core gameplay is here.
[RANDOM INFORMATIONS]
Since I have no skill in digital painting, but have some in 3D rendering, every sprite is a 3D rendered object with a toon shader applied to it, the only exception being the sun beams which are made from 2 stretched varonoi textures which have a pendulum movement.
I wanted to do the jam all alone to touch all the creative parts of a video game: story, gameplay, level design, textures, sound effects, musics, etc. It was maybe a little bit too ambitious: I had no time for sound effect and I did two musics which were horrible so I decided to not include them in the game, and I didn't have the time to include the story and jokes I've been thinking about^^. I would like to be able to spend more time on the art also.
Thank you to the organizers and to the community for this event !
